DMCA copyright policy

Effective October 1, 2026. Last updated October 2026.

YeshBe respects the intellectual property of others and asks the people who build on YeshBe to do the same. This policy describes how we respond to claims of copyright infringement in apps and websites hosted on our platform, and how creators can dispute a removal.

We respond to notices of claimed infringement in line with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”), 17 U.S.C. § 512.

Reporting infringement

If you believe that an app or website built on YeshBe uses your copyrighted work without permission, you can send a takedown notice to our designated copyright agent.

What your notice must include

A notice is valid only if it contains every item below.

Signature
A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or of a person authorized to act on their behalf.
The copyrighted work
A description of the work you say was infringed. If one notice covers several works, a representative list is enough.
The infringing material
The exact URL of each YeshBe app or website page where the material appears, with enough detail for us to find it.
Your contact details
Your name, mailing address, telephone number and email address.
Good-faith statement
A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
Accuracy statement
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.

Anyone who knowingly and materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees, under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).

Where to send it

Email your notice to dmca@yeshbe.com with the subject line “DMCA takedown notice”, or mail it to the address in Designated copyright agent. Notices sent to other addresses may not be reviewed promptly.

What happens next

  1. We check that your notice is complete. If something is missing, we contact you.
  2. When the notice is complete, we act promptly to remove or disable access to the material you identified.
  3. We tell the creator of the app or website that the material was removed and explain how to send a counter-notice.
  4. We confirm to you what action we took.

Disputing a removal

If material in your app or website was removed and you believe this was a mistake — for example, you have a license to use it, or it was misidentified — you can send us a counter-notice.

What your counter-notice must include

Signature
Your physical or electronic signature.
The removed material
The URL where the material appeared before it was removed.
Good-faith statement
A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
Your contact details
Your name, mailing address and telephone number.
Consent to jurisdiction
A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the U.S. federal district court for your address or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which YeshBe may be found.
Consent to service
A statement that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice, or their agent.

Anyone who knowingly and materially misrepresents that material was removed by mistake or misidentification may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees.

Where to send it

Email your counter-notice to dmca@yeshbe.com with the subject line “DMCA counter-notice”.

What happens next

  1. We check that your counter-notice is complete.
  2. We forward a copy to the person who sent the original notice.
  3. If they do not tell us within 10 to 14 business days that they have filed a court action, we restore the material.
  4. If they do file a court action, the material stays offline and the dispute is between you and them.

Repeat infringers

In line with the DMCA and our Terms of use, we suspend or close, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users we find to be repeat infringers.
